Thunderbird Aviation & Cessna Expand Partnership

Thunderbird Aviation is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with Cessna Aircraft Company. Through the new agreement, both Thunderbird facilities, at Flying Cloud Airport and Crystal Airport, have become Cessna Pilot Centers and offer new and expanded benefits to both flight students and rental customers. Highlights include:
  • An enhanced training experience with Cessna Authorized Flight Instructors
  • Expanded financing opportunities with Sallie Mae Financial
  • Discounts on Avemco Aviation Insurance for all Thunderbird customers
  • Exclusive training curriculum for customers through King Schools
  • Ability to take advantage of Cessna Ownership Programs, including "Catch the Sky" training rebates and Leaseback plans with Thunderbird Aviation
  • Cessna Solo Wings Program
  • Acquisition of new C-162 Skycatcher light sport aircraft
Thunderbird Aviation can now assist customers with all aspects of acquiring a new Cessna aircraft and provide all the training necessary to be a safe and competent pilot in all type of Cessna Aircraft. Additionally, as part of the agreement, Thunderbird will also have flight instructors trained on the Garmin G1000 flight management system.
Thunderbird's current Cessna fleet includes two C-172Rs and three C-172SPs, all with IFR approved GPS devices and autopilots, with one C-172SP also equipped with a full screen Multifunction Display.
