Ground School

Ground School

Thunderbird Aviation offers ground school classes for individuals interested in obtaining their private pilot or instrument ratings. These classes are held in the evenings and cover the necessary knowledge and skills required for pilot certification with the key focus being on preparing for the FAA written exams. The private pilot ground school covers topics such as aircraft performance, navigation, and weather, while the instrument rating ground school covers advanced navigation and communication techniques, as well as instrument approach procedures. Both courses include a combination of classroom instruction and interactive learning activities, to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed to become proficient pilots.
